In 2005 a chance meeting at a country music competition hosted by K.V.S Promotions brought Robbie Pearson and Florence Given together to perform. After that show they later met to form the country music duo ‘Country Features.’ They play a lively selection of Traditional Irish Country and American Country songs and have just celebrated their forth year together. They can provide music for functions, parties, weddings, cruises, in fact any event where you need a lively band to play a flexible selection of new and old country classics as well as a few Rock&Roll!   And they are never afraid to throw in the odd party game when the “crack” is good **.

Robbie, (keyboards/vocals/programmer) from outside Irvinestown in County Fermanagh, has been around the music scene  for over 20 years. Florence, (vocals/songwriter)  from  outside Omagh  had played in a country band during the late 70′s/early 80′s,and when she was just 16 yrs old she was invited up on stage to sing with the Paddy Nuillin band in New York at a function hosted by Aer Lingus.A few years later she  put music on hold to raise her family but lately returned to the scene in 2005 with Robbie’s encouragement along with her family and friends.. They have released two albums and an xmas single which was wrote by by Florence and you can hear samples of the albums and purchase from this website.

Award Winning
They have travelled extensively all over Northern and Southern Ireland . In 2007  they picked up a best Country duo award from a country radio station . They also have a huge following in Scotland where they recieved an nomination for the   ‘Band of the Year award  in the Tucson cmc,Edinburgh. Special hello to all their friends in Aberdeen, Inverness, Thurso,Keith,Ellon,Alford and Edinburgh. The highlight of ther career, so far, has been to appear along side the Irish Country Queen of country, ’Philomena Begley’ at the Shetland Islands Country Music Festival which they proudly opened in the Lerwick Theatre,Lerwick Shetland..

Original Songwriting
Florence always has a tune and lyric floating around her head and working with Robbie offered the opportunity to realise some of these musical ideas having penned four songs including the first albums title track ‘Hand On My Heart.’ Both ‘Hand on My Heart’ and ‘Love Me Forever’ have been particular favourites of the Scottish country music radio stations.  The first album even found its way to Ernest Tubbs record shop in Nashville USA having met its owner, Mr David McCormick, during a recent visit to Ireland.

Professional
Country Features play a lively selection of both USA and Irish Country Music and have a strictly professional view of their services. They pride themselves on their very tidy presentation, dress, punctuality and no alcohol prior or during performances but most of all have fun on stage!!!
